AMD Radeon R9 M290X is 28nm DirectX 11 graphics card based on GCN architecture. The graphics card, produced primarily for large laptops, is in the high-end category with the first quarter of 2014. It is similar to HD 8970M graphics card with its performance and features.

The power consumption is almost the same as the GeForce GTX 780M. Due to its high temperature output, it can only be used on large laptops or devices with a good cooling system.
