Panama is working on a proposal to embrace Bitcoin and other cryptos in the country. The announcement came after El Salvador’s move to make Bitcoin a legal tender. Paraguay too is following El Salvador’s lead.

Crypto wars! The future!
Already the IMF is bitching and moaning “we’re being disrupted”
These are sovereign countries.
Suck a bag of dicks IMF!
Bullish
Yesterday was the last bottom discount… Tight your belts 🚀
So…. How do I become a resident for tax purposes
This will be a stepping stone for other countries around the world to legalize cryptocurrencies
I have to assume Mossack Fonseca customers are already deep into crypto for diversification and privacy. This just extends the options to the streets?
That is certainly good news to hear. I really hope other countries would follow suit. DeFi is definitely the future!
Who’s next?
This is a clickbait bullshit headline from a shitty crypto news site. Sure, that headline sounds amazing but that doesn’t make it true. Why does stuff like this get 96% upvotes without the slightest scrutiny?
“Panama” implies that it’s the government that is working on such a proposal but it’s really just a single independent politician who is not in the ruling party. It’s great that he wants to work on this but what are the chances that a bill of a single opposition politician gets passed? So yeah, Panama is *not* following El Salvador’s lead just yet (but hopefully one day).
This is why it’s so powerful. Adoption will start from the bottom up and by the time the 1% figures out whats going on. The 99% will own their money and the 1% won’t be able to stop it or control it
look this is actually really dope but bitcoin is not gonna cut it for mass adoption by nation states, right? like w supply issues, transaction fees, power draw, transaction speed, etc
So we can still buy AK47s like we always have back from El Salvador but now it will be on the books. Lol
Yay
Oh yes so much faith put into the president of El Salvador. This is a smart big brain move.
Tight your belts, we are going to the moon 🚀🚀🚀
I’m just a little worried that the U.S will be like oh no you’re not. And then ban crypto… lol
