Two Turks Appointed to the Management of American Banking Giant JP Morgan

In the American banking giant JP Morgan, two Turks were among the 52 people who were promoted from Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions.

Two Turkish names succeeded in managing promotions of the US-based investment bank JP Morgan, one of the most valuable banks in the world.

Gökhan Özkan and Banu Ulutunçel were among the 52 names promoted as managers from JP Morgan’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Gökhan Özkan, a graduate of Middle East Technical University (METU) and Harvard Business School, has been working in JP Morgan’s Emerging Markets Financial Institutions department since 2006.

Özkan had been involved in Garanti Bank, Finansbank and Yapı Kredi Bank sales projects in Turkey for the last ten years and most recently in the NCB-Samba merger in Saudi Arabia.

With the promotions, Gökhan Özkan became a manager in the Global Investment Banking Department and Banu Ulutunçel in the Global Markets department.

Announcing a net profit of $ 29 billion in 2020, JP Morgan is among the most valuable banks in the world with a market value of $ 465 billion.
